Flow variation vs. topographical differenc

Post by Miguel_l_e »

Hello everyone, I am making a sprinkler design in a terrain with a lot of height difference, the drawback is that the flow of each emitter is the same despite the difference in elevation between them and the respective dynamic pressure.

To add, the configuration is set up as a non pc sprinkler.

Dear Miguel,

When using non-pressure compensating sprinklers it is important to set the valve pressure in Design|Zone Design Configuration and run Zone Design|Detailed Analysis. This is when IRRICAD calculates the exact pressure at each emitter and the resulting flow, and it requires the valve pressure in order to do this. The normal Analyze function will only provide the flow as expected from the nominal pressure entered into the outlet / sprayline dialog.
See our "Tips forum post "30. UNDERSTANDING DETAILED ANALYSIS" (viewtopic.php?p=577#p577) for more information.
