Hi.
I'm using Irricad Link for Bricscad V23.
when executing IRR_FILEGEIMPORTKML it moves for a second to the google earth import window,
Then it closes and nothing happens.
I found this Announcements topic by Dan
viewtopic.php?hilit=Import%20From%20Goo ... c19afc1677
I followed the instructions but it didn't solve the problem.
Thanks,
Ari.

Re: link import from KML not working
Hi Ari,
It does sound like the cause is the issue you tried to fix with Dan's post. Please check that the version of your IrricadGEImport.exe is 1.0.8796.17033.
You can do this by browsing to your installed IRRICAD Link folder, commonly located in C:\Program Files\Irricad\Irricad Link BricsCAD, and locating the IrricadGEImport.exe file. Then right-click on the file and select "Properties". Look at the "Details" tab.
If the file version is different than above, then the fix you tried has not been successfully applied. However, note that upgrading to the latest version of IRRICAD Link will also install the latest version of the IrricadGEImport executable. You can upgrade via IRR_CHECKUPDATES or by downloading from
https://www.irricad.com/upgrades-patche ... -bricscad/.
If the issue persists please let us know.

Re: link import from KML not working
Hi Ari,
1) Are you able to successfully use Import from Google Earth?
2) Try and access the functionality outside of BricsCAD. To do this:-
a) Run a command prompt (CMD)
b) Browse to your IRRICAD Link folder by changing the directory, e.g.,
cd C:\
cd program files
cd irricad
cd irricad link for bricscad
c) Enter irricadgeimport /kmlpath "your kml file path and name"
d) Press Enter.
Did the Import from Google Earth window appear with the KML file loaded?
At this stage you can save the file.
If not, go to step 3.
3) To rule out if your file is the cause, try a different KML/KMZ file. If you don't have another file please send your KML/KMZ to your local support to check.

Re: link import from KML not working
Hi Jo.
1. yes,I can use Import from Google Earth, downloadig image and elevations.
2. I run the command from CMD.
when running the command GE import window open blank for a second and close.
it dosn't show any map, just open and close.
3. I tyried a few KML files - now the polygons are imported but GE don't open.
I run the command, select the KML file,"KML Import/Export Settings" window is opened.
I press O.K. and the polygon from the KML is imported "as is" without going to GE import, just the polygon.
Edit:
When typing "IRR_FILEGEIMPORTKML" to the command line instand of selecting the command from the menu it is working...
what I found out is that the command in "import From Data" from the menu was "^c^cIRR_FILEIMPORT;2".
when I created a command "^c^cIRR_FILEGEIMPORTKML" it worked.

Re: link import from KML not working
Thank you for letting us know.
We do not have a standard menu option for the IRR_FILEGEIMPORTKML command.
Someone has added it to your menu and used the command for Import Data.
