Floating Taskbar

Post by kyleboyf150 »

I am new to this forum and to posting. But i have a problem with my irricad i can't seem to solve. My Select toolbar will not dock to any side of my irricad window. So everytime I use a select tool thinks i'm using a separate function of irricad andIi have to click on the screen to be able to zoom and draw. Please let me know if anyone else has had this problem or if you know how to fix it. Thanks.

Hi,

I personally haven't come across not being able to dock it but have you tried to dock it on all sides of the main window?
Try also to reset the toolbar via VIEW>TOOLBARS then by highlighting SELECT and then by clicking RESET on the right hand side of the window.

Could be an error in the winicad.ini file. Maybe open that up (when Irricad is closed) and copy and paste here what you find there so we can compare.

I have tried docking it on all sides of the irricad main window without any success. I also tried cutting it on and off and reseting it both ways without any success. Where is the winicad.ini file located? i found a winicad.sty file and a winicad application but not a .ini file.

Hi,

You will need to get IRRICAD to create a new Winicad.ini file.
To do this:
1. Close IRRICAD
2. Using My Computer or Windows Explorer go to C:\Windows.
3. Locate the Winicad.ini file (you may not be able to see the file type so look for Winicad).
4. Edit the name of the file so IRRICAD cannot find it e.g. OldWinicad.
5. Run IRRICAD.

The toolbars will now be back to their factory default so you will need to customise them again but now they will dock properly.

Note in Pro Version 12 the Winicad.ini file can be found in your IRRICAD\config folder.

Regards,

Jo
