Zone/Area numbering in configuration table
Zone/Area numbering in configuration table
Is there a way to have Irricad sort the Zone/Area numbers so as it sees past the first numeral to list double digit Areas in the correct sequence? When you have a large number to go in and change it is very time consuming!

Re: Zone/Area numbering in configuration table
Rob,
The standard alpha-numeric sorting works in this way:
Blank 1 comes before 11
Blank 2 comes before 11
But 2 comes after 11
The way auto-numbering is controlled is by the information in the Settings|Names dialog.
IRRICAD replaces the tilde (~) symbols with numbers. The number of tildes indicates how the numbering is padded with blanks.
Using the default three tildes (as in the Names dialog above) a single digit will be padded with two blanks, double figures with one blank, etc.
Then the numbering will appear in order in the Design dialogs (see below). It appears you may only have one tilde in your settings.
Note the zone naming for irrigation blocks comes from the Areas field in Settings|Names.
