Multiple Water Supplies

Post by Jim Phillips »

I am doing a design with 3 independent water supplies. How do I enter the data to have n*IrriCAD size each mainline and sytem duty. The mains are not connected to each other, all supply their own zones

Hi Jim,

The trick with individual systems on the same design is getting the Management right.
You can check out the forum post Tip of the Week #41 (http://www.irricad.com/phpbb3/viewtopic ... t=321#p676) which explains a little about this.

For example, if all zones are running at the same time you must give each water supply a different system flow number. This is because if all water supplies are supplying system flow #1 but zone 2 is not physically connected to Water Supply 1 then there is no pipe path between the water supply and this zone. Therefore make sure all water supplies are supplying system flows that they are physically connected to.
If each system has three system flows then the total number of system flows in the Management is nine.
