Seed Polygon

Post by sditape »

We imported boundary and contours from an .shp file and then also imported a google image. We need to section of a portion of the field for tape to run a different direction, so we drew a poly line across the area, crossing the boundary lines, that have been changed to a drawing layer, but the seed polygon will not work, it says the lines aren't crossed, and we have checked and they are. Can you advise what might be the problem?

Re: Seed Polygon

This issue is caused by very large coordinates in the plan and effects all Seed tools (hatch, fill, polygon) and Show Area. Setting the User Origin does not help in this case. We are currently beta testing a newer version of Visual CADD, which we will be incorporating into Version 14, that will improve the internal handling of large coordinates.

Until Version 14 is released the options in this case are:-
- Move the plan closer to 0,0 so the coordinates are smaller. If the world coordinates are important, e.g., plan exported back to surveyor, make a note of the original coordinates of one spot so the plan can be moved back to the original position prior to exporting. Remember to turn off the User Origin, if enabled, and to turn on all layers before moving.
or
- Trace the outline of the blocks with the Block lasso
or
- Draw a manual polygon to convert into a block outline.
