In newer versions of IRRICAD is it still possible to see incorrect sizing of the Google Earth images or incorrect tiling with the "Medium" or "Large" options on higher DPI monitors. In most cases the Import from Google Earth utility will be able to auto-scale. For it to do this, it checks the Windows registry setting that allows auto-scaling - if this setting is off then the utility will not be able to auto-scale based on your monitor's text size setting (DPI). (Note that Version 21 uses a different method and is therefore more likely to work. If you are still having trouble with IRRICAD not scaling check that you are running V21.08 or greater).
When the scaling is not automatic you may see that tiles overlap and don't match up, that the size is not correct, or that the area you specified to import is not completely imported. To resolve this please follow the steps below.
1. Open the IrricadGEImport.ini file in Notepad and find the entry “DpiScale=” and enter the required scaling. For example, for 125% text size enter 1.25, for 150% text size enter 1.5, for 200% text size enter 2.0. In countries that use a comma separator rather than a point separator use 1,25 etc. (You will find your monitor's text size by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting "Display Settings").
2. Save the file and import the required Google Earth map.
Note that you must be running Version 18.05 or later for auto-scaling. For issues in older versions see our forum posts "If Image is Incorrect Size When Importing From Google Earth" (viewtopic.php?p=1147#p1147).
Additional Notes
If the text size in your display settings is greyed out then click the “Advanced scaling settings” beneath it to see the actual value that your monitor is using. For example, the image below has a greyed out 175% but the value under the advanced settings is only 125%. Therefore the "DPIScale" should be DpiScale=1.25 or DpiScale=1,25
