My GE importing is not working. The 2nd screen does not pop-up, when I enter the command: IRR_FILEGEIMPORT, the thumbnail in the windows tools bar shows a white screen . Irricad stays thinging and then does not respond.
I have checked my API key and the card associated with it in the Google maps cloud platform and all seems fine.
Any advice? I am running V20 standalone.
thanks in advance,
Victor

Re: Importing from google Earth
Hi Victor,
Do you mean you are running IRRICAD Link v20 with the 'Irricad Standalone' workspace?
Which version of BricsCAD are you running this with?
The utility appears to be working well in BricsCAD v22.2.06 (IRRICAD Link v20.22.06).
If you click on the thumb-nail does the window come up?
Does the utility run outside of IRRICAD Link? Browse to the installed folder, commonly located at C:\Program Files\Irricad\Irricad Link BricsCAD and double-click on the IrricadGEImport.exe - does the Import from Google Earth window now open as expected?
Which operating system are you running? As per the forum post "If Google Earth Import Stops Working" (viewtopic.php?p=1780#p1780) Google no longer supports Windows 8.1 or older.

Hi Jo,
Yes, I'm running BricsCAD v22.2.06 (IRRICAD Link v20.22.06).
No, the thumb-nail does not come up if I click on it.
No, the utility does not run outside of IRRICAD Link if I click on the the IrricadGEImport.exe in the installed folder. It only opens a white thumb-nail in the windows tools bar.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro.
I can't figure it out, I tried 4 times today via the IRRICAD link. The third and fourth time it worked without me doing anything.
It is working fine now.
Honestly, I don't know what to say.
Thanks and regards,
Victor Galego

Hi Victor,
The import utility stores the size and position of the window when you use it. It is possible that, somehow, a position was stored that was off-screen.
If the problem re-occurs you may be able to correct it by checking / changing the [Window] section of the INI file.

Re: Importing from Google Earth
Hi Victor,
Were you changing how many screens you were using, for example previously two screen then going to one screen? This could explain some of your symptoms, where the open Import from Google Earth window was 'on' the missing screen.
Or did you restart your computer between it not working and then working again?
