Hi Irricad
Firstly Happy New Year, hope you all had a good break.
I'm designing a drip block with on line drippers, I used spray block to set it up. I've done an outlet connectivity check and all valves are connected , no issues shown.
IrriCad will not run through the block hydraulics, I get a warning message IDE_DES_404 The maximum number of pipe connections has been exceeded. What's the solution?
Regards
Andy Laing

Re: Spray irrigation block design - maximum number of pipe
Hi Andy,
Happy New Year to you also.
How did you connect the submain pipe or valves. It sounds like there is either a bad connection or loops of pipe. The Help|Help Topics - Technical Reference->Screen Messages->Error Messages gives advice on what can be done (see below). To find the junction look at the items you connected manually.
DES 404 : The maximum number of pipe connections has been exceeded
There are more than four objects connected at a single junction.
Delete or move some of the objects to reduce the number to four or less.
If more than four objects are to be connected at a junction, divide the objects into two groups, joined by a short length of pipe i.e. create two junctions.
Regards,
Jo

Re: Spray irrigation block design - maximum number of pipe
Hi Joe
I put them in automatically using the spray irrigation block design (start). I then deleted them and put them in manually to check if there was a connection error, I still get the same warning. There are no more than 3 pipes connected at any location ie lateral take offs.
regards

Re: Spray irrigation block design - maximum number of pipe
This error message means there are too many items in the zone - there is a limit of 5000 pipes.
Unfortunately the message description in the manual is incorrect.
As a general rule if there are many drippers / emitters on a lateral enable the "Connected" option in the Sprayline dialog.
If there are 10 or less emitters on a lateral definitely use unconnected (uncheck the "Connected" option.
For more information see Help|Help Topics - User Manual->Advanced Topics->Spraylines, Tapes and Minor Losses.
