How to access the Control Panel on your operating system

With changing operating systems comes differences that may be difficult to navigate at first. Here are some tips on how to quickly access the Control Panel under the different systems.

Windows 10:
- Right-click on the windows icon (bottom left of screen).
- Select ‘Control Panel’
- Most of the posts in the IRRICAD forums assume the “View By” option (located at the top right of the control panel window) is either “Large icons” or “Small icons” and not “Category”.

Windows 8.1
Windows 8.1 is a bit of a hybrid between Windows 8.0 and Windows 10. You can actually use either method to access the full Control Panel. See “Windows 10” or “Windows 8”.

Windows 8
- Right side swipe or hold the cursor at the bottom right of the screen.
- Select “Settings” (the ‘cog’ symbol).
- Select the Control Panel option.
- Most of the posts in the IRRICAD forums assume the “View By” option (located at the top right of the control panel window) is either “Large icons” or “Small icons” and not “Category”.

Windows7
Left-click on the Windows icon (bottom left of screen).
- Select ‘Control Panel’
