How to send Error Reports If They Are Not Sent Automatically

Post by jovivier »

If IRRICAD Link crashes and does not automatically send IRRICAD Support an error report along with your design then please follow the below instructions:-

Make sure that the file logging is turned on via the LOGFILEON command. Once turned on it will remain on until AutoCAD or BricsCAD is upgraded.

Each new session of IRRICAD Link will not include any previous tasks in its session log, therefore if a crash has occurred without an automatic error log being sent to us then it is helpful to manually send us the previous log file which led to the crash. In IRRICAD Link check the log file folder location by entering LOGFILEPATH. This is where all the session logs will be saved. Each design/drawing in each session will have its own file. To send with a copy of your design for our reference (recommended) run IRRICAD Link, load your design and action Irricad Options|Send Problem Report. Click “Yes” to include a copy of your design. Before sending the email go to the log file folder and attach the last session log for that design (required). Alternatively, simply send an email to Support@IRRICAD.com and attach the previous session log file and your design.

Note:- whether sending an automatic report or a manual report always put in some information about what you were doing when IRRICAD Link stopped working. Depending on the crash this information may not be in the log files.

Additionally, please check that you are running the latest version - patches can be downloaded from https://www.irricad.com/upgrades-patches/ .
