ADD THE FILTER&PUMP IN THE DATABASE

Post by msuss »

Hello, I want to add the filter and the pump in my design, but I cannot do it, when I add a filter, my block adds the pressure that corresponds to the pressure consumption of the filter, also in my database I find few pumping and filtration, any help would be greatly appreciated

For filters add these into the "Other Hydraulics" component group.
You will need pressure loss vs flow graphs to enter the information into the Curve Fit utility "Miscellaneous pressure loss from flow" option - so that IRRICAD can calculate the constant, index and intercept. For filters it is a good idea to increase the intercept by the pressure differential expected before automatic or manual washing of the filter, for example if the calculated intercept is 0.5m and the backwash is set to start at 8m of differential then make your intercept 8.5m.

For pumps add these into the "Pumps" component group.
You will need pressure vs flow graph to enter the information into the Curve Fit utility "Pump head from flow" option - so that IRRICAD can calculate the H/Q Curve factors A, B and C.
Pumps should be placed downstream from the water supply and not inside a loop or ringmain.
