How to Have IRRICAD Layouts Loaded at Start-Up in AutoCAD

Post by jovivier »

When IRRICAD Link for AutoCAD is initially run the layouts will not be the IRRICAD layouts until you set the default template to be the IRRICAD one.
To do this use the CONFIG command to enter in to the Configuration Options.

In the "Files" tab scroll down until you see "Template Settings" and open this by clicking on the "+" sign.
Now look for "Default Template File name for QNEW" and highlight it.
Click the [Add] button and then the [Browse] button.
Look for the Irricad-Default-m.dwt file (for metric) or the Irricad-Default-ft.dwt file (for US Units), or other preferred template. If you need to browse for the location go to C:\Users\[your login name]\AppData\Local\Autodesk\AutoCAD XXX\R2X.X\enu\Template
Select the file and click [Open].
Now click [Apply] and [OK].
